Nursing Care

Since the concepts + information of AIWS is still lacking, for now... The most optimal method of a diagnosis shall include -

proper history taking, a thorough physical(including neurologic and often otologic and/or ophthalmic) examination, and a sound knowledge of the varying symptoms/characteristics of AIWS and their possible causes.

As a Nurse, the main objective is to assist the patient through provision of comfort. A migraine prophylaxis followed by a migraine diet is the most common attempt at treatment(since migraine is the suspected leading cause), but this "fix" may or may not help with the alleviation of AIWS. AIWS mainly occurs in children and, in most cases, can dissipate naturally over time. But it still can occur with Adults.

Initiation of Neuropalliative care for the patients who suffer severely may be also done.
